Since 1974, Beverly Hills Meals on Wheels (BHMOW) has been a steadfast presence in the community, delivering nutritious meals and compassionate support to homebound seniors. Operating Monday through Friday, BHMOW provides a hot lunch and a cold supper each day, ensuring that elderly residents receive not only sustenance but also regular wellness checks and social interaction.
Under the dedicated leadership of Coordinator Pat Jacobson, who has been with the organization for over 27 years , BHMOW has remained committed to its mission: helping aged or infirm individuals maintain their independence and dignity by enabling them to stay in their own homes as long as possible .
Despite its long-standing service, BHMOW faces challenges due to rising operational costs and a lack of digital infrastructure. The organization currently does not have a website or social media presence, making outreach and fundraising efforts more difficult.
Beverly Hills Meals on Wheels has served the community faithfully for over 50 years—but like many small nonprofits, they're now facing serious challenges. With no website, no social media, and limited resources, BHMOW has struggled to keep up in a digital age. That's why Meals on Wheels of West Los Angeles is stepping in—not just as a sister organization, but as a committed partner. We're offering our technology, tools, and outreach platforms to help them modernize, grow their visibility, and secure the future of their program. Together, we're building a bridge from tradition to transformation—so they can continue delivering meals, dignity, and care for decades to come.
Please reach out with any volunteer questions. We are always taking on new volunteers in and around Beverly Hills. You're also welcome to leave a message with our sister organization, Meals on Wheels of West Los Angeles!

Below you will find a few answers to commonly asked questions about Beverly Hills MOW
Just last Friday, one of our clients called after receiving her meal. She told me she'd fallen, but that her daughter was on the way with medical help. Something about it didn’t sit right with me, so I followed up. When I couldn’t confirm the story with her daughter, I trusted my gut and called the Beverly Hills Police Department. They confirmed no call had come in — and immediately dispatched emergency personnel to check on her. That decision may have saved her life. This is why we do what we do.
They tell us we’re saving them. Many say they’d be starving without our help. But it’s more than just the meals — it’s the connection, the check-in, the reminder that someone still sees and cares about them.
That they truly need help. Behind every door is a person doing their best to hold on, and your support could be the difference between hunger and hope.
We could serve more people. Plain and simple. But we’d also love to bring joy — through thoughtful treats and small gifts — because little surprises can bring big smiles.
It keeps the wheels rolling — literally. Every dollar helps us get meals out the door and into the hands of someone who truly needs them.
It means I’m giving back. I’m showing up for people who often feel forgotten. And even if it’s just a smile and a “hello,” it makes their day — and mine — a little brighter.
It would be heartbreaking — “sad” doesn’t even begin to describe it.
But every day that it does exist? It’s like sunshine breaking through clouds, even on rainy days. Because I know we’re not just delivering food — we’re keeping people alive.
We're excited for you to join us on our annual walk!
